Here is Ayden and I hanging up his first baby Christmas ornament, that Grandma Ellis gave him. He liked the feel of the needles on the tree (its a live one) so he kept trying to feel them and didn't worry to much about the shiny ornament. It was a great start to a wonderful season. The only room we have in the house that is for baby and the christmas tree is our family room. So I thought for sure that with him crawling around he would be all over the tree. But so far the attraction is at the other end of the room. Either with the dog's water or climbing on the baby gate.

How sweet!! I love seeing your sweet little family Kris. Ayden is such a cutie! I always have heard horror stories about kids and christmas ornaments and trees, but I haven't ever had any problems with my girls when they were young. My only problem is now they love going behind the tree and hiding and the other day they were trying to get behind it and knocked it over. It really scared them so hopefully they'll really stay away now. Merry Christmas!!
How very fun! Ayden's first Christmas! That is so cute the video with you guys and the ornament. I wish I could say the same as Cindy about the ornaments. If I like the ornament it is put above kid reaching height! Christian used to take them off the tree, throw them and smash them into the wall into a million pieces. Of course that was when he was 2. Now they just take them off and rearrange them mostly. I guess that is the difference between boys and girls huh?
Can I just say that I'm SOOOO glad that Maddie isn't crawling yet. I hope he continues to be a good boy and doesn't mess with the tree.
Your tree is beautiful and your child's first Christmas is so unforgettable. I haven't had much problems with kids and Christmas trees either...I actually worry more about my dog finding something than my kids :) So far so good though!
